Pricing
What it costs, and what changes it
A fixed monthly price with no limit on the number of receipts, set by your turnover rather than by counting paperwork. No separate bill for software or for the year-end. Prices are without VAT; 25.5 % is added, and you deduct it if you are in the VAT register.
Most accounting firms price by the voucher: a monthly fee that covers a set number of receipts and invoices, about five euros for each one over it, a licence fee for the software, and an invoice for the financial statements when the year ends. A busy month therefore costs more than a quiet one, and you find out afterwards. I price by the size of the business instead, which is a number you already know, and then nobody counts anything.
Limited companies (Oy)
The price follows your annual turnover. Inside your line the number of receipts makes no difference at all, and payroll is charged separately because most small companies run it a few times a year rather than every month.
| What | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Turnover up to 240 000 € | 199 € / month | Bookkeeping, VAT returns, the financial statements and the tax return at year-end, the accounting software, and the answers in between. No limit on receipts. |
| Turnover over 240 000 € | 249 € / month | The same work for a bigger business. Still one fixed figure, still no limit on receipts. |
| Payroll | 15 € / run | Payslips, the Incomes Register report within five days, and the payments due on the 12th. Charged only in the months a payroll is actually run, whether that is once a year or every month. |
Sole traders (toiminimi)
One price, for delivery and courier drivers, Posti contractors and one-person businesses whose month is a stack of receipts and a settlement report. If you employ someone, payroll is charged per run as above.
| What | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Sole trader | 69 € / month | Bookkeeping, VAT returns, the business tax return at year-end, the accounting software, and the answers in between. No limit on receipts. Above 240 000 euros of turnover the company prices apply. |
What a year costs
The monthly price is the yearly price divided by twelve, with nothing waiting in the spring. A sole trader pays 828 euros a year, a company 2 388 up to 240 000 euros of turnover and 2 988 above it, plus 15 euros for each payroll run. Compare that with the whole of what you pay now: many monthly fees in this market exclude the financial statements, commonly a few hundred euros, and about a third of firms bill the software separately on top.
What every fee includes
These are not extras I add later. They are in the fee, whichever line you choose.
- No voucher limit. Thirty receipts or three hundred, the fee is the same. Most price lists in this market are a ladder that adds about five euros for every receipt over the line.
- The line is your turnover, a figure you already know, checked once a year against the finished accounts rather than watched month by month.
- The year-end is in the price. No separate invoice for the financial statements or the tax return in the spring, which is where a cheap monthly fee usually catches people out.
- The software is mine to pay for. No licence on top, and nothing you have to keep paying for if you leave.
- Filings on the day they are due, including the quiet months that still need a return.
- A named accountant, not a queue. The person who does your books is the person who answers your email, in English or Hindi.
- Your books stay yours. You can have them in a readable form at any time, and always when you leave.
Work outside the monthly fee
Ordinary questions are inside the fee: you do not get a bill for asking, and asking early is usually what saves the money. Work that genuinely sits outside it is billed in 30-minute blocks, agreed in writing before I start, at 85 euros an hour for routine catch-up and admin, such as sorting out past years that were never done, and 130 euros an hour for advisory and interim work, such as a restructuring, a tax appeal or standing in for your own finance staff. Most firms bill by the started hour; I bill the half hour you actually used.
Cover for your own finance person
If your bookkeeper or finance person is on holiday, sick leave or parental leave, I can run the month in their place: the bookkeeping, the VAT, the payroll reporting and the payments calendar, in your system or mine. Small firms rarely offer this and almost nobody prices it, so it is agreed case by case on the dates, the volume and the software, at the advisory rate or as a fixed monthly figure if the cover runs for several months. Tell me the dates and what the person normally does, and you will get a written quote.
What moves the price
Turnover sets the price, and a busy month never changes it. A few situations are still agreed separately, always before the work rather than after:
- Daily cash takings that need a Z-report every day, which is normal in restaurants and shops and takes real time whatever the turnover is.
- Several past years to catch up, or books that were never kept. Priced separately once I have seen them.
- Payroll for more than a handful of people, or several pay runs a month.
- Foreign trade beyond the ordinary: sales to consumers in several EU countries, or a permanent establishment abroad.
- A company that is not in ordinary operation: liquidation, a restructuring, or a group with subsidiaries.
The small print, in plain words
Invoiced monthly, 14 days net. No start-up fee, no minimum period, and no notice beyond the month you are in: if you leave, you take your books with you in a readable form and I help the next accountant take over. VAT of 25.5 % is added to every price. Everything is agreed in writing before any work starts, and if a month turns out to be far outside what we agreed, I tell you before I do the work, not after.
Not sure which line fits?
Send me a month of your receipts and last year's figures if you have them. I will tell you which fee applies and what I would actually do each month, before you commit to anything.
